Flooding Your Senses, Roses | 24x18"

English Roses are so sensual. These are David Austin's 'Brother Cadfael'. I've treasured these blossoms since we bought our house and inherited this rose bush 24 years ago. The fragrance is so rich and romantic. The petals are too numerous to count and soft as a child's cheek. The bush has no thorns and offers its gorgeous blossoms without defense. When the blossoms catch the sunlight, there is nothing more beautiful.

This watercolor was painted on paper, mounted on 1.5" deep cradleboard, and is sealed and protected with cold wax medium. The sides are painted white. No frame or glass is necessary to display this piece.

"Flooding Your Senses, Roses" won an Honorable Mention Award in the 2021 Edmonds Art Festival Juried Gallery.
