In this painting, I've emphasized the rounded trumpet-like shapes of the calla lilies. The lines all radiate out from the center spiral, like a blast of bright sound. I was listening to salsa music for this painting - pushing the rhythms into the painting and indulging in the hot, intense tropical colors.
This orginal watercolor is framed under glass, float-mounted in a black frame. The outside dimensions of the frame are 30" x 24".
